Milestones

By Wes (November 30, 2005 @ 1:14 pm)

Well, life continues to blast by over here, as I’m sure it does over there. Just a quick update to keep you informed of the events of the past month or so…
- I’m a half-master! Monday, I completed my fifth course (out of ten) towards earning my Masters of Arts in Leadership through Pan Africa Christian University / Trinity Western University. Only one more year and I’ll be done! Feels good, but really nice to have a couple of months off before the next course hits. So far, the definate highlight have been my classmates – what a cool and unique experience it’s been to get to know some great people from a totally different background than my own. Another highlight though had to be doing the high ropes course at Brackenhurst Adventures (50 feet up, on a wire!). So my leg was shaking to beat the band, but I got to the other end and back – twice! Evidently, Fear was not a Factor!
- Ez and Zay are growing like weeds, topping out at just shy of 4 feet and 60 lbs, and 3.5 feet and 40 pounds respectively. They are doing well, and continue to impress us with how different they are from each other, and in what they do. Ezra loves to read (Batman books are cool!) and practice his soccer tricks, as well as draw (he’s a really good artist! You should see his book of bug drawings!). Zay continues to play with Annalise (one of our neighbors his age) almost every minute we allow him too, and they usually dress up so he is the knight or king (or someone that has a sword and cape), and she’s Snow White, or the princess. They are funny together, but get along great. Zay now wears his batman outfit (yes, with cape too) a lot as well. As you can see, they seem like pretty well adjusted young boys. And they are we think.
- Jean’s almost finished reading through the bible in a year (quite a hefty cool milestone!), along with BSF and doing some work for the school in the area of organization. I just hope she doesn’t show too many of her admin skills, because they’ll be knocking down the door trying to get more of their lives in order. She’s just that good.
The next milestone looming for us is Christmas break, and although we miss the snow and cold (seriously, we really do), we miss our family and friends more. But, we will carry on, and celebrate Christ’s birthday with those around us with joy and gusto! We have so much to be thankful for, and without Jesus, it just wouldn’t even be possible. So, as we continue to streak towards the Season, we thank you for your support and prayers for us this last year, and ask that you would continue to uphold us in this way.
Blessings to you,
The Enns’
